How to make your candle do the most

Using a wick trimmer to trim a wood wick soy candle

They’re candles, they’re not that complicated…BUT there are some things you can do to prolong their life and get more enjoyment from them.

1. Trim & Proper: Keep your wicks trimmed (to 1/8 - 1/4”, if you really want to get specific"). This will prevent flames from getting to high and the candle from getting too hot, which poses an obvious safety risk. It also prevents smoke and any potential soot. Check out our sleek and fancy wick trimmer.

2. Burn Baby, Burn: Let your candle burn for at least 2-3 hours during its inaugural burn. This will allow the candle to get hot enough to form a full wax pool from edge-to-edge, and will prevent that annoying tunneling. You’ll get a stronger scent and prolong the life of your candle since you won’t be wasting precious wax that sticks to the sides of the vessel.

3. Get the Vibes Right: Always burn a candle with a cozy cup of coffee or a nice glass of wine to optimize the vibes 😉.
